Poem: Regret

And at the end of the day  We regret the walk we didn't go on, The kiss we didn't give, The I love you we didn't say, The tears we didn't shed.  We regret the photos we didn't take, The smiles we didn't give away, The cakes we didn't bake. We regret the courage we didn't embrace, The words that didn't leave the gate, The hugs we kept to ourselves, The 'no' we didn't say in the right space.

Poem: Dark Void

And so it is  that we meet again, you dawned on me one Sunday afternoon.  I flooded like a dry river On a monsoon season;  Your darkness engulfed me  And I could not breathe;  The reins I was forced to let go. No longer me,  No longer in control; I shed the layers And was an imperceptibly small and vulnerable being, Shaking, gasping for air.  You kept your hold on me And I succumbed to it.  Uncontrollably, I lost myself Buried in that dark, familiarly unknown void.  You kept me down there. They were calling my name, Extending their hand  But I could not reach. I was far down. I struggled, I lost.  But eventually I won.

Poem: A Smile in your Soul

The birds sing And so do we breathe,  Natural and necessary,  To thrive and to fully live.  Do not overthink it,  The mind will keep a hold,  Just flow with the ease of the breath And flourish in the light of your soul.  Breathe, be, bloom. Pause. The beauty of just being,  Liberating and simple, A smile in your soul.
