Writing this Blog
Time and time again I've come across many
authors who reassure the reader that we are all unique, that there is no one
else like us and that we all have a gift to give to the world. I do believe
that and it is a truth that I’m learning about and gently reminding myself more
and more every day. I think that no matter how many things have been done in
the world, we should still strive to do the things we want to do anyway
because, like Liz Gilbert said, those things haven't been done by us. And it is
not out of self-centeredness but out of an inner knowing that we have something
unique to give out, to provide the world with, however big or small we consider
that world and our contributions' reach. Our actions will have an impact, however big
or small, and we won't know how many people we have influenced.
I finally decided to start writing this blog because I
am deeply and wholeheartedly committed to
spreading positivity in this world. I've been journaling for a few years now
and I love how writing has helped me make sense of things in multiple ways. I
have mostly used Facebook as a platform to share positive things but, after being encouraged by two dear friends of mine to
write a blog, I decided that I would do it as a way to primarily express and help myself
because I ultimately write what I need to read and write about things that make
me smile, daily reminding myself about the good things in life: love, kindness,
joy, connection, compassion, perseverance, humility, and many more things I
believe light this world up, things that are our true nature though sometimes
we forget.
Through this blog I hope to remind myself that there are always
so many things to celebrate in life! If, in the process, I inspire someone,
great! It's all about human connection and sharing our human journey through
meaningful experiences. I would love people to daily
remember that albeit all the negative and sad things happening in the world,
there are still amazing, beautiful, awe-inspiring things happening all around
us that can bring tears of joy and remind us of the beauty of love, kindness,
gratitude, respect and all the acts that can gently prompt us all of our true
nature: we are love, we are connected and we learn every single day.
Words are truly powerful vessels
which carry
emotions and intentions, they can bring people down or they can change
someone's life by showing a deep appreciation and support, they can imbue
someone's life with love, gratitude, wonder, and emotions that will go beyond
the writer's knowledge and awareness or their direct or indirect
influence. I write because my voice is unique. There is no other
being like me and there will never be. And I am not talking from an egocentric
perspective but from a self-appreciation awareness. I learnt that self-love is
far from selfishness and, together with self-respect, it is a key pillar in our
wellbeing and thriving.
All in all, I hope that through writing I will be able
to expand my understanding of life, of myself and spread love and positivity
throughout time and space. If my words inspire someone and bring a smile to
someone's face, then that is a plus that will bring warmth to my heart as I
believe we are all connected, all looking for joy and fulfilment. I believe in
human connection, a connection that is our true nature and that goes beyond the
unnecessary limitations imposed by labels which although deeply rooted in
ourselves through outer sources, is not who we are. We are eternal beings who
are a limitless source of love and light.
