Poem: Magic in the Air

'The earth has music for those who listen.'

Shakespeare

Magic in the air through lightness and breeze,

Through the birds’ flights and flapping of wings.

Magic in the air through the colours of the sky

Through the noise and the silence,

Through the raising and fading lights.

Magic in the air through my awed contemplation,

Through my lost-in-thought reflections

And through my deep meditation.

Magic in the air when the dragonflies are flying

And when the butterflies are dancing,

When the bees are buzzing and the sun is shining.

Magic in the air

awake the peace within me,

remind me that love is all there is,

and all that ever will be.
