More Love, Less Hate
(The following is something I posted on Facebook a few years ago. I have mostly used that platform to spread love, joy, positivity for I feel that the world needs to read words, watch videos and see photos that will inspire people to choose love over fear. Love conquers it all and if we all commit to choosing love every day -in whichever way we are able to choose it before the situation we find ourselves in- then we can continue filling this world with positive, loving energy).
Why did I take these photos? We are constantly bombarded with news of hate crimes and my heart saddens with every act of hatred, division, abuse and discrimination. I always wonder why we just seem unable to accept differences and be more tolerant towards DIVERSITY. I believe the answer is FEAR. Fear of the unknown, ignorance and narrow-mindedness. And that is so sad because we are missing out on so much connection! If only we respected and accepted that we are all uniquely different our lives would be so enriched.
We ARE indeed unique. But we are also ALL humans, members of the same race and family. So, why can’t we accept each person’s uniqueness and CELEBRATE DIVERSITY? Respecting other person’s individuality doesn’t mean we have to change our nature but it does mean accepting their unique traits and being tolerant and empathetic. RESPECT, TOLERANCE, EMPATHY. Words loaded with so much meaning, words we frequently use and hear, yet I believe sometimes we don’t really understand how powerful they are and how much they are missing from societies around the world.
So, I guess these photos are my little grain of sand to a cause I fervently believe in. I believe that each loving thought, each smile, each hug, every single positive contribution creates bigger waves and deeper love expansions –loving ripples. We ARE love, we are born with such joy and innocence, full of laughter and smiles; love is our nature and deep within ourselves we crave for more connection and compassion.
I took these photos because I wanted to humbly spread the message and contribute to the expansion of the idea that LOVE is all there is.
Every single act of kindness –however big or small- has a positive effect in every member involved in the act. It costs nothing but it is worth so much. Priceless love.
So, MORE LOVE PLEASE! Love in all its facets and channels! Loving thoughts, loving words, loving gestures and loving acts. Let’s love! Let’s contribute with more loving energy and little by little the world will heal more and more. There are so many kind, beautiful people who already spread their loving magic every day! And it DOES make a difference: to the person you smile, to the person you hold the door for, to the person you carefully listen to, to the person you give your place in the queue because they have few items, to the person whose presence you acknowledge by looking them in the eye, to the person you don’t take for granted, to the person you hug, to the person you smile at…MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN SOMEONE’S LIFE! It does not matter how different you are from that person or that person is from you (just a matter of perspective!), at the end of the day, we are all the same: LOVE. Love embodied in different containers with different beliefs, religions, colours and sexual orientations but the same essence: LOVE.
Simply, love.
P.S: If you want to spread a bit of love, share.
