Poem: Homesick Soul

When I look at the dusk, night sky,

I often wonder what's beyond

The visible worldly sights,

feeling like a unique alien

on my own Earth home.

There's a lingering feeling

of darkness and void,

feel like something is calling me back

to another ethereal, harmonious home.

Homesick for a place I do not know,

Curious about the stars and planets

high above the ground

of this earthly, alluring soil.

A being of the sky,

Celestial soul travelling the stars.

I landed on this planet,

fear was all around.

I tried to integrate

To dance, to share my love.

Held back by wars, held back by hate,

Trapped, not grounded enough yet.

Light abandoned my soul,

It decided to run away.

But then it came back,

Certain it was all a lesson on this land.

Not to despair but to deeply learn

A soul from both worlds

Navigating the lessons

On the infinity and edge of both homes.
