Poem: If the Dreams we Have

If the dreams we have weren't big enough,

We wouldn't be scared but they wouldn't help us expand.

We would stay stuck, we wouldn't thrive,

We would look from the sidelines

Rather than dazzle the crowd.

We'd continue playing small,

We'd fear all the voices around

And we'd miss embodying our purpose

In this beautiful lifetime.

We'd feel pain because we'd be disconnected from our desires.

We'd ignore our soul's wishes

And the gut feeling guiding us to fulfillment.

We'd ignore our North star,

We'd eventually feel empty and torn apart.

But if you said yes to your aligned dreams

And at least dared try, then, beautiful one,

You'd be so proud you're choosing yourself

And what you know would fulfill your life.

You'd work passionately hard

Because you'd know you're creating the life you want.

It would be a bumpy road at times but

It'd be so worth it because you'd be saying yes to your soul.

You'd use your talents and skills galore,

You'd feel abundantly excited, grateful and oh, so alive.

You'd look back and proudly acknowledge to yourself

 How far you've come.

You'd give yourself a tight hug

Because you would have said yes

To your dreams and followed your North star.

You would have said yes to feeling

Fully, deliciously alive.
