Poem: Women of my Clan 🌸

The women that came before my time,

My ancestors, women of my clan,

I bow to them, to their strength, and love.

I was attached to them through experiences of the past,

They were loving me but darkness lingered in their lives.

I had to liberate myself and liberate them in that process of life,

I wanted to set them free from their pain and their scars.

We cried, we talked, we released in unison,

We heard the abusers, inflictors and bearers of pain,

We forgave those souls and collectively we could let the pain float away.

I released stagnant pain

That was not mine to carry around any longer.

I said thank you, I bowed to these souls that walked

The earth before my time.

I am at peace now.

I will always be at one with the clan

But I walk my own unique path unburdened

By the weight of deeds gone by

That weren't mine to carry around.

I release the past now to continue healing my own beautiful scars.
