Perspective

Why not?
Why not me?

Why not now?
If not now, then when?

There will always be questions. Some questions will make us doubt ourselves and put a break on a wheel that never really started rolling; but some other questions will fire us and trigger us, propel us into action.
I have also found that sometimes the questions are the same but it is our perspective the one that determines the answer. PERSPECTIVE. Perspective is what we need now more than ever. Our modern society is going through some challenging, uncertain and, at points, scary times. I know. Though humanity has experienced pandemics in the past, we haven’t and it is absolutely natural to not know how to feel, or feel completely overwhelmed. Or, even feel happy because you found the much needed space, time and energy to actually do the things you’d been procrastinating for a long time. Or you can feel drawn to just be, simply be -whether it is with your family or by yourself. Sometimes you will feel all of this in one day. And  that is okay.

I think this is something we will -hopefully all of us- take away from this 'experience' when it passes: it is okay to slow down, it is okay to invest time in the people you love, it is okay to invest time in yourself. I actually wholeheartedly believe it is needed, it is a must to invest time, energy and resources in the things that do matter and make a difference in life, the things that add pure value to our lives. We will hopefully have reframed what is important and be thankful for all the blessings around, even the ones presented through challenges. As cliche as it may sound, gratitude changes our perspective of what we experience, it changes the how of what we go through, how we navigate our lives and engage with the world around us. We always have a choice.

How are you living your days?
