Poem: Dharma

She trusted, she knew

The path of her ancestors

Would guide her through;

She did fear, she did not know,

But she trusted her higher self

And the universe's boom.

The calling was real,

Scared she was but she felt

It was time to breathe and act.

No longer time to waste

On things that drained her soul

This little one learnt that

A long, long time ago.

Books she read,

And wrote a lot

To make sense of things

That would help her grow;

She listened, she observed,

She asked questions and let shame fade away.

The journey was not plain, there were shades of gray.

People stared and made her shy away

But she knew she didn't have to give in to

Their ignorant, fearful ways.

She craved the flow, she longed to fulfill her call,

In kriya she wanted to live and

Her vibration she rose.

Sun, moon, the stars in flow,

The ebb and flow of the universe's song.

She prayed, she heard, she could not let go

Of the calling, the faith in how she was meant to

Gloriously glow.

She trusted.

She breathed.

She bloomed.
