Poem: Remember Me

I might, I'll see...

Remember me

Tucked away in the corner of the tree

Where the sun shines and darkness falls,

Where secrets hide and truths speak.

Remember me

In the shade of the oak tree

Where the birds sang

And you loved me.

Remember me on the shore, on the beach

Where we saw ancient boats

And the wind blew me.

I might, I'll see...

I'll come back in the whisper of the trees,

You'll see my shadow, you'll see my smile

I'll never stay away for long enough.

Remember me singing amongst the trees,

Dancing to the sound of my own feet,

Running around,

Wild and free,

Wishing forever to be

Free,

 Free,

 Free.
