Poem: Jekyll & Hyde

The Darkness, the Light,

Inhabited her body,

The Darkness, the Light

Inhabited her soul.

Traces of both could be seen at points,

Never afar, never alone.

Edging on danger, she'd let her roam

But she'd known her Darkness

Would not roar for long.

Light struggled and lost many a war

But never gave up on the girl's soul.

The battles would go on for months on end,

She knew that in her mind she'd keep them safe.

Away from the stares, away from the world,

Jekyll and Hyde would coexist in her soul.

And so they lived,

Her Jekyll, her Hyde.

For years to come

They made her who she was.

She learnt to live with the ups and downs,

Bravely navigating her light, her dark.
